Community Tasting Notes 3

July 1, 2008 - I noticed some chocolate on the nose. When tasted, the first impression was quite good. No strong flavor nor fruit bouquet, but a soft tannin with a good, sweet finish for a Cabernet Sauvignon. When tasted with food, herbs came in on the palate. However as time wore on, I started noticing imbalances and inconsistencies. I was getting sudden kicks of acid that were unexpected, and the tannins started acting as if the wine was much younger than 5 years old. Overall, an interesting wine, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get another one.

July 2, 2007 - This is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and some Malbec. It is very smooth, almost like a Merlot, with well-integrated fruit and soft tannins. The finish starts out relatively short, but grow longer as the meal progresses. Overall, this wine does not taste like a classical Cabernet Sauvignon (such as the offerings from the Yarden or the Golan lines) but it is a quality wine nevertheless, very easy to drink, and is recommended. 4/5 stars.

December 10, 2005 - Appearance: Burgundy color. Nose: Smells like forest berries, cherry, thick but light. Taste: No tannins. Doesn't taste oaked, but is. A bit fruity, light, cherry. Good for appetizers and cheeses.
