January 15, 2024 - Plum, baking spices, and beautiful tannins. Wonderful wine that went perfectly with prime rib. IMO drink now thru the next few years.

December 13, 2023 - Strained for sediment and decanted…Beautiful stuff with a plummy nose, and blackberry opening. Rich and plush, without being heavy. Beautiful, smooth drinker that's also well balanced, with a tannic backbone to hold it all together. A lovely special occasion bottle that's worth the money.

August 18, 2023 - Similar to my October 2022 tasting note. Decanted 3 hours. This is so smooth and balanced. Rich spicy fruit. Less restrained than some other JEC’s (like the Yates) this drinks more like a typical Napa cab. Sadly my last bottle but looking forward to trying the 19s and 21s!!

June 20, 2023 - Wonderful with short (2 Hr bottle decant) and even better on day 2. Don't know if it's the vineyard or the producer but I love this stuff.

May 28, 2023 - Decanted for 45 minutes before our first taste. Deep rich big cherry fruit on nose. Initially, a slight sweetness on palate, but another hour of air helped fill out this cabernet with a better balance of acid, fruit, and tannins, while the sweet notes disappeared. Medium body. Good finish.
