July 25, 2019 - Medium density crimson red colour. Dry aroma of tobacco, spice and oak. Black fruits, plum, blackberry. Dry tannin, medium acidity. Dry finish, medium body. Average mid week wine.

January 4, 2019 - Dark ruby colour. Light aroma of dried spice and saw dust. Medium body, pepper, dark chocolate, blackberry, cloves. Medium fresh acidity, long finish. Enjoyable wine, showing good potential for a few years.

June 17, 2018 - Hunter Whistlestop - the road less travelled #1 (Hunter Valley): Medium minus intensity aromas - its' slightly reductive at first with pepper over muted meaty and plummy black fruit with a lifted (some might say clumsy) apricot note. A little cream. On the palate though the Viognier lends a little sweetness. Tannins are slightly silky but drying. Meh.
