January 9, 2024 - I admit I'm not a huge fan of Argentinian Malbec. This was quite dark in colour (deep purple). The nose was interesting, a mix of black and red fruits and a slight herbal note. Medium to full bodied on the very concentrated palate; slight tannins add structure. I appreciated the lack of oak. This is certainly an interesting malbec, different from the 'normal' Argentinian malbecs; but the size and concentration of the wine allow for little complexity. Still it is impressive in its own way (B+/A-).

November 11, 2023 - Decanted, one and a half hours. Dark ruby, with medium intensity, developing aromas of violet, black fruits, tobacco, tar, and mushroom. This wine has medium body and acidity with high alcohol and medium tannins the pallet matches the aromas with a medium plus finish.

October 25, 2022 - Interesting purple nose and pallet, with a long dry finish.

  • Heynetty Does not like this wine:

    April 21, 2022 - A: Deep Purple
N: Medium nose of black plum, black cherry, dark chocolate, a drop fennel, coffee(simple)
P: Dry, medium (+) acidity, medium (+) unripe tannin, high alcohol, full body, medium (+) intensity and medium finish (coffee remains, fruit falls off quickly)
C: balanced - ripe fruit and acid
    Length - too short
    Intensity - good
    Complexity - lacking
    Good Quality. Terrible QPR.
Not suited to ageing - too simple and no clearly defined fruit

March 2, 2022 - So this is growing on me on day 3. Dusty-stone aromas perhaps from the concrete (?) with touches of black fruited vines, taste reveals dark plums, black olives, blackberry-balsamic compote, and a pleasant savory salinity. A little rustic with minerality and rough-hewned (what does that mean exactly?) tannins but chewy in a good way. I think this got 93 pts. someplace but lost my record of it, likely a bit generous, but with ample air time this seems to come around and would make a great BBQ and braised red meat wine pairing, also pizza, pasta, burgers, cheeses, etc.
