September 25, 2018 - I very much enjoyed this wine. It is halbtrocken, which may cause some to shy away. Think of residual sugar as analogous to salt, enhancing the flavor of the wine. Don't be afraid. The wine has baroque tendencies, as there is much going on adding complexity to the experience. The acidity and sweetness remind me of the chirascuro technique of Caravaggio, a dramatic tension which delights the palate.
