July 21, 2019 - Nice apple flavors predominate with hints of pear and peach. Acidity a little lacking. Not focused. Just a little flabby but overall a nice summer wine.

July 2, 2019 - First impression was a little oxidative, though less bothersome after it opened up a bit. I'd drink up.

November 25, 2017 - This bottle was less good than the previous. The fresh fruit notes were much more muted and the secondary notes of dried fruit with hints at coming oxidation were much more to the fore with acidity and minerality less apparent. Nevertheless a complex and rich wine with typical wax and honeyed notes which as usual paired particularly well with Sainte-Maure and Pouligny-St.Pierre goat cheeses. How far is this showing a function of a rich vintage more suited to sweeter styles? I'll move quickly to drink up my remaining bottle as well as some 2005 sec from Foreau and Huet.

June 17, 2017 - Classic mature Vouvray sec with deepening colour and an expressive bouquet of white fruit, apples, citrus, pineapple, peach mainly, wax and a hint of honey. Palate was medium bodied, more tendre than bone dry, with a seamless profile of quite rich fruit, discreet minerals, fresh acidity, backbone and good length. At peak now, I guess. Very good.
