March 13, 2022 - Deeply scented with rich notes of over-ripe strawberry, framboise, Kirch, and cherry filling come with notes of complex vanilla, cardamom, floral pastilles, hibiscus tea, cinnamon stick, slate, earth and hints of sweet herbs, toasted anise and cigar box.
The palate shows a core of rich fruit that comes with polished tannins, smooth textures and juicy acidity. deeply penetrating flavors of sweet raspberries, strawberry preserve, pomegranate, cherry filling, hibiscus tea, baking spices, vanilla, floral pastilles, anise, toasted fennel, earth, and notes of herbs and oak. The finish lingers with intensity.

May 17, 2021 - Retail $65. Back when I first tasted this wine in 2019 as part of Second Annual Blind Tasting of American Pinot Noir, I was not a huge fan of the nose, but the palate blew me away, and I rated it a 95. Now, about 18 months later? It is surprisingly similar. The nose remains a bit stewed, but holy cow is it fantastic on the palate. Rich, but balanced fruit is paired with a lovely tartness that maintains a solid presence all the way to the well-above average finish. Fantastic.

December 7, 2019 - The Second Annual Blind Tasting of American Pinot Noir: Retail $65. Stewed and certainly seems “old” the palate is fantastic. This is right up my alley. Certainly a whoa. Think “Corton with even better fruit.” Outstanding. 94-96 Points. thedrunkencyclist.com

August 3, 2018 - Lighter in body than the 2014 tasted recently, and showing the same markers, lemon bitters, petrol derivatives, and salinity. It will be interesting to see how time treats these wines. 91-92.
