February 17, 2024 - My last bottle and I am in tears with separation anxiety. Got a glass here now after decanting, and the nose is so elegant! It has a floral quality that sets you up for a great glass of wine, and it is!! I could literally sit here with my nose in the glass all night. After 30 minutes in a decanter, this wine opens up for business. The palate is dark blackberry, blueberry, cassis, dark chocolate bar, glycerin, and still a good amount of soft chewy tannins to round out the palate. If it wasn't from Quilceda Creek, I would love to describe this as the quintessential right-Bank Bordeaux. This is literally one of the best bottles of wine I have had in a very long time. Bravo QC for making a magnificent Merlot that is legendary! If I could gush over this wine anymore, I would have to put a ring on it LOL.

June 4, 2022 - Simply fabulous. Huge wine exploding with layers upon layers of flavor yet it's so smooth and elegant. At peak but should stay nicely here for a few more years at least (or it may even keep improving). If you have any, treat yourself to something regal. 96

June 19, 2021 - This wine is aging nicely. The nose is floral and oak with a hint of vanilla. I have a glass here now and I save it from overnight and the wine is delicious with good dark fruit of extra ripe blackberry, cocoa, cassis, cola, green pepper, tobacco, and oak with a super dark finish! It's an explosion of flavors and I am totally impressed that a 17 year old merlot is still amazing on the 2nd night. I have 2 more bottle left and I wish QC would make Merlot again as this is a full tilt, right bank cabernet drinkers Merlot. If you have some laying around, start drinking it and enjoy.

December 18, 2020 - Seems a bit extracted and that tannins were a bit chunky.
