March 18, 2021 - PnP, Grassl Cru. The acidity is really up front on this wine. Seashells on the nose. Acids are buttressed by tropical fruits and a little yeastiness. This wine is really charged but has the weight of ripe fruit from a warm and even year to balance a fair amount of zip. Judicious oak but there is just a little there. I like the final product a lot.

December 7, 2019 - took a good 20+ minutes for the nose to show up, and another 30 for it to start singing... love this wine, just glad i didn't pop n pour and got to follow it over a couple hours with dinner and friends

March 20, 2019 - Bringing to an offline tonight to be served blind. Giving this a test drive ahead of leaving for the event. I've drank a # of these since release so I have a pretty good feel for the personality of this wine. The first part my TN is right from the bottle after pulling the cork, and while I will get another pour later, there won't be any remainder for tomorrow so keep that as some context here. Good showing with virtually no aeration. Aroma of green apple, and the same infuses the palate, adding a freshly cut green apple essence, too. There is also pear in this bottle, joined by the tangerine flavor that has consistently been part of the previous bottles. It adds a lovely acidity and freshness. It finishes with some fennel this time, and a good ensuring acidity, the same tangerine element I dig so well and some lemon zest. Will update my TN later if I can get another taste of this at dinner before it gets emptied at the table....

November 4, 2018 - Kutch and Model Farm dinner at my place in the OC (My House In The South OC): I really enjoyed this last night. There is a seductive kind of golden apple note, along with a distinct tangerine acidity with lime. Solid balance and energy that finishes with a lemon oil quality. 12.5% pure Chard, grown on 40 year old own-rooted vines in Boulder Creek (SCM). Best showing of this wine yet.

October 24, 2018 - Drank with colleagues over dinner. We kept this pretty cool throughout the meal and it showed dynamite. What I recall clearly from last night (I didn't jot notes) was two things. One, the presence of tangerine, which I found in the July's bottle. The imprint of this flavor really works in the wine. The other thing was the weight and balance that was here. No glycerine or weight to speak of, and instead solid balance and enough palate presence to be lithe and let the wine really show. I thought overall this bottle drank terrific.
