    July 20, 2019 - Yummy

February 5, 2019 - Pinot Showdown II - Australia vs the rest of the world (Oak Barrel, Elizabeth Street, Sydney): slightly dusty and spiritous but perfumed and spied, black over red berry, a little cream. In the mouth plenty of acid, spice and it's alcoholically warm with ripe black and red fruit, medium length and finishes slightly bitter. There is a gentle tannic burr that is slightly chalky on the front of the palate, well made but not for me.

December 27, 2018 - 6 Tasmania wineries Dec-19; 12/27/2018-1/2/2019 (Tasmania): {screwcap, 13.5%, A$38} Voluptuous cherry nose, leavened by just a little oak influence, and some of that Austrian! Light in body, low in tannin, fresh medium acidity; it’s pretty light but nicely balanced. Still, it’s a lot of money for effectively a beefed-up rose in style, if not colour. Might put on weight with some time. I like it, but not at the price.
