November 26, 2017 - Coravin tasting. Similar to before. Very dry, glycerine, citrus peel, quince. Still seems like it’s sleeping and needs more time!

July 4, 2017 - Coravin tasting. My first old Gewurtztraminer. Clean with no oxidation at all. Very slight delicate lychee on the nose so identifiably Gewürztraminer but with some mature tertiary notes on the palate. Quite mineral, almost a Riesling-like petrol quality. Quite thick actually. Dry with some honey notes but without the sweetness, floral honey. Interesting in that you get some character that is reminiscent of sweetness and Sauternes but without ever tasting any sweetness at all. Even old Chablis seems sweeter than this. Very interesting. Wonder what it would be like with food, I'm just trying a glass on its own (extracted with a Coravin).

December 22, 2012 - Not a regular drinker of Gewürztraminer but have had great bottles of 01 Riesling from josmeyer before. This was much more like a sweet wine in both nose and texture. Very obvious nose of lychee. Lots of sweetness and slightly viscose on the palate. Not what I expected. Solid but not sure I will get any more.
