  March 22, 2021 - Quite youthful for its age, medium deep ruby w a slight hint of purple still. Nose is quite Bordeaux, smoky savoury tobacco, herb versus the more in your face fruit that I'd normally expect from Walla. Same on palate, this would probably have been much better in 5-10 years, it was pretty youthful and clenched. There is definitely fruit there, but hidden under oak, and as with a Bordeaux of this age, grippy tannins. 91 is probably a bit low given big potential. Interesting, and unexpected.

  August 8, 2019 - No change from ten months ago. Quite nice. I'm beginning to think 2013 will be a banner year for ALL Walla Walla wineries. Prost!
  
  Added note 08-16-'19: Every bottle of this I have opened is REALLY dirty. The last 2 oz is chewable. I have learned! Pour into another bottle using a paper coffee filter. A Hamburger Schlemer fancy pricy filter won't do. Trust me. Maybe the winemaker likes to chew their wine.
