February 9, 2024 - Dark red with slight fading at the rim. Plums and blueberries on the nose. Lush on the palate but with underlying structure. Blackberries, blueberries, plums. Fine, firm tannins. Nice acidity, great balance. Finishes moderately long and dark fruited. Could stand another 2 to 3 years to develop. Drink next 6 years. 52% Syrah; 48% Mourvedre.

August 27, 2023 - Quite tight upon opening, needed at least half an hour of air to really start to show its stuff. After that, delicious, interesting, but I still prefer the single vineyard zins and syrahs...

May 13, 2023 - Decanted for 2 hours. The nose was fabulous - completely enticing! We were thinking this would be a 93 point wine! Unfortunately, the palate and the mouthfeel did not live up to the nose. The wine was good, but it was not remarkable. We were thinking more like an 87 point wine. We kept wondering how it could be that the nose was so fantastic and vibrant and then the taste was just okay. Maybe it just needs more time for the flavors to catch up to the nose, if that is even a thing. Oh well...

March 24, 2023 - Described as a "Rhone style" blend with 58% Syrah and 42% Mourvedre. Maroon color. Full bodied. Well balanced with integrated tannins and good structure. Chewy. toasted nuts, chocolate, cassis and tobacco, with dark fruit and a bit of spice. Long finish. Decant for 30 - 45 minutes.
