October 3, 2023 - Consistent with past notes but this has improved, so now likely in a peak drinking window. Not super complex but this wine doesn't care - it's accessible and easy-drinking after about 30-min of air in the glass. Wish I had more. Drink 2023-2028. Technical score: 90. Enjoyment score: 92.

November 25, 2021 - Warmed up Thanksgiving dinner. Took about an hour to open up in the bottle (did not decant) but ultimately brought a nice mix of forest floor, cloves, black tea, and campfire with red and black fruit. Simple, linear, but in good balance. Needs another year or two to open up fully, so drink 2023-2028. Good QPR. Technical score: 89. Enjoyment score: 91.

    March 9, 2020 - Tasted over 1.5 hrs
    -semi-translucent med red
-fragrant high-toned red pinot fruit with a little animale funk
-med/med+ acidity, light weight dark cherry juniper stone slight medicinal, med/med- tannins
-easy-drinking pleasant Bourgogne, less vibrant than a bottle opened last year

  • Cote d'Or Likes this wine:

    September 18, 2019 - Tasted over 2 hrs
-semi-translucent dark red with purple tinge
-reasonably expressive fresh black cherry raspberry wet stone
-med acidity is enough to provide energy but stopping short of tangy, light/med- weight though nicely lively and sappy, fresh stony red-black fruits and some minerality reasonable complexity, med/med+ tannins
-somewhat see this as a hypothetical blend of '09 and '10 with the former's generous darker fruit yet some of the latter's tension, this is not profound but it is everything one could possibly ask for in an excellent young Bourgogne - juicy balanced pleasant joyful, delicious!
