  March 29, 2022 - Italian Wine Scholar Class at the Texas Wine School. A blend of Ribolla Gialla, Picolit and Verduzzo Friulano, all vinified dry. Med amber. Pronounced aromas of ripe, baked, yellow apple, lemon, bruised white peach, candied orange peel, almonds, white flowers, caramel, vanilla. Barrel fermented on lees for 11 mos. Dry, but w/ plenty of sweet fruit left. Med (+) acidity and med alcohol (12.5%), with a creamy, oily texture that is Chenin-Blanc-like. Med (+) to pronounced flavor intensity and length, consistent with the nose. Very complex, at its peak, showing amazingly well for a 29-y-o white wine, perhaps because both Picolit and Verduzzo are used to make age-worthy dessert wines. Not intended for further aging.
