October 29, 2021 - Very earthy nose of red fruit, oak, dried leaves, licorice, cedar, and leather, nicely balanced palate of ripe red cherry and plum with notes of vanilla, sweet tobacco, anise, and black pepper, firm yet velvety tannins, lengthy finish.

January 30, 2019 - Everything Banfi touches turns gold. This shows nice depth to the dark berry, cherry, mocha, and wet earth aromatics. Scents of licorice, Band-Aid, and spice notes add nuance and complexity. Savory fruit, a bright cut, and textural density power the Old World flavors.
