November 24, 2023 - This is a more linear, less oxidative style. Lots of fruits upfront, not just citrus, but a subtle touch of mango, peaches, Meyer lemon. A touch of hazelnuts and palpable, yet balanced acidity. This was delicious on its own, but really shined with oysters. Wish I had more!

August 13, 2022 - Riches but also shrill without the dosage, and the power seems unrestrained. Im not against the style, but the execution of this wine in particular was a miss. Ageability, I don’t see an upswing to further ageing in the short term, unless you’re thinking 15+ years

April 4, 2022 - Great qpr for a grand cru Champagne of 16 years. Bright, fresh, clean and nicely matured, aged for 8 years before its release. Bright medium golden colour. Aroma of chalk, caramelized butter, citrus cream, honey, dried lemon peel. Palate is intense and rich with great freshness, vibrant zesty acidity, fine mousse, nutty and saline touches at the refreshing finish.

December 26, 2020 - Excellent vintage Champagne that is at prime. Toast, almond and mineral notes with great mouthfeel. Great start to a Christmas celebration.

October 1, 2020 - On the initial attack, this was quite toasted with a lot of freshly baked bread, burned brown sugar, raw nuts, vanilla, and a classically ‘Moncuit’ mushroominess/a touch of Sherry wine, although on a more subtle level, accompanied by a mineral structure with chalk, some gunpowder, and wet stones; with some aire this showed a solid base of ripe stone fruits: peaches, nectarines, apricots, and ripe citrus fruits such as lemons, limes, and sweet pink grapefruit; lots of white flowers such as lilies, jasmine, and elderflower.
From the non dosé versions of the Moncuit millésimes, the 2006 is quite a bit more acidic than the 2005, for example; it still has a toasted and mineral structure, but a higher presence of yellow stone fruits, and lighter in the oxidative sense than the ‘04 and ‘05 bruts. The definition is very clear; the brut millésimes age in a marzipan/‘turrón’ style, whereas the non dosés are much fruitier and, probably, have more ageing potential thanks to the high acidity.
