September 6, 2019 - Old Timers Lunch at Alexander Valley Vineyards (Alexander Valley Vineyards): Carignane is so underrated and unrecognized but it can, properly grown make a wonderful wine and this is a good example. Full bodied with ample color, a cream soda berry nose, it is a great food wine. The acidity is typically mild as is the tannin structure but there is more than enough there. Easy to go from one glass to the second.
