Community Tasting Notes 28

  • NickNYC Does not like this wine: 87 points

April 21, 2024 - Not a lot of pleasure with this bottle which was either off or had passed its pick. Nice nose, ripe, mainly on orchard fruits. The palate disappoints, heavy and quite flat. Not what I expect from a Muscadet. Consistent with my previous tasting note, I’m not optimistic for my last bottle.

January 24, 2022 - seems in an in between phase. not really aromatic, not really on the fresh/zip side either. not sure what to think about this wine. 87?

December 13, 2020 - Ripe and giving with a youthful nerve. Extraordinary minerality. Quince. Very wide and spacious. Dreamy and ample acidity without anything offending, still delivering superb freshness. Magic

May 31, 2020 - I stumbled upon this in the cellar; it wasn't in the inventory. It sat too long, I think. There were some fruit left, but more minerals than fruit, and there was oxidation as well. Drinkable and different, but those who don't like oxidation wouldn't be as happy. No rating. Drink up.

87 pts
