July 15, 2011 - Nearly identical to our previous bottles. Though heavy on oak & lacking in Pinot typicity, the blance of acidity & tannins remains wonderful. Decent spice. And little heat, which I didn't find last time. All told, very well made wine. [14.7% abv.; $23.50].

March 17, 2010 - PnP. Dark garnet, with clear ruby hue. Like the `04, HUGE oak on the nose, and not much else. And also like the `04, somewhat lacking in true Pinot typicity, but far more acidity & better tannic structure. So, who cares if this could be a Zin? Reminds me of Sea Smoke's "Southing," but at half the cost. Good stuff! [14.7% abv.; $23.50].
