February 16, 2023 - Decanted and consumed with an aromatic beef/carrot tagine. Inky purple robe, nose of blackberries, plums, mushrooms, tobacco, and white pepper. Strikingly vivacious fruit given the age, very smooth tannins, acidity in perfect balance, and echos of all elements of the bouquet on the palate. In great condition, and a very satisfying wine at the WL 11.11 deal price. Less compelling at retail.
