Awesome but I’m playing it safe and drinking up now while it’s at peak. I think the perfect accompaniment now would be prime rib or roast pork. It’s too elegant and mature for grilled meats. Definitely a wine for a satisfying meal on a cold night.

  October 21, 2023 - Long finish. Lingering. Getting more mature notes since the last bottle I had a couple years ago. Still needs lots of air and probably has lots of time ahead.

  May 14, 2023 - 6-hour slow-ox; opens with dark chocolate, Luxardo cherry, spice notes and subtle mint aroma. Broad shouldered and exceptional Right Bank balance with a long finish that matches the palate and nose. This was an great Riserva BdM by every measure.

While the fruits are a bit subdued, I think it's now in a transition phase. While it's great, it's casting a bunch of tannins. In a year or two, that should resolve and I think it may blossom.
