March 11, 2024 - Purple in color Black cherry, plum, currant, oak Flavor is great, oak, tobacco, blackberries High acidity, gripping tannins, dry and a bit of complexity It's really nice. It reminds me of Smith Haut Lafitte

March 6, 2024 - Medium ruby color. Pure and gentle nose filled with cherry, red berry, and warm baking spice notes. Some toasted walnuts, violets, and mineral notes as well. Silky entrance with a lovely blend of ripe blackberries, raspberries, and cherries. Gentle spice, dark cocoa, and minerals linger in the background, finishing with good length. There's purity and freshness with impeccable balance. Already approachable, but will evolve to be better over the next decade or two.

January 21, 2024 - Very good, and quite approachable. Medium bodied, with a silky mouthfeel, great mix of black and blue fruits smooth tannins with a fresh mineral note on the finish. No hard edges and good balance. Very attractive with impeccable balance. Drink now to 2040.

November 25, 2023 - Tasted this at the International Congress of Chinese Cuisine & Wine, Domaine de Chevalier Masterclass at The Tower Club.

Very primary at this stage. Though drinking well at the moment, this wine is still young and will age and improve over the next 10 years. No hurry to open if you have this in your cellar.

October 10, 2023 - Nose: Thick cassis, slate, barrel spice. damp earth; really thick and inky nose. Palate: Ripe blackberries, juicy red cherry, scorched earth, warming mouthfeel; polished tannins that spread softly and evenly over the palate; a bitterly mellow nuttiness on the finish with a bit of tomato zing. On day two, vanilla and oak become more present, especially on the nose; on the palate, there's more of the same fruit but it's more tart.
