December 18, 2021 - Solid signature Oddero. Dry aged fruits, good acid throughout. Medium finish.

October 16, 2021 - ~7 hours in the decanter. Very rich and still sweet black cherry and plum fruit with lots of tar, licorice and some dried florals. Good structure but just not vibrant enough to be great.

June 20, 2021 - Wine opened and drunk immediately from the bottle.

The wine is cloudy and looks watery red/brown in colour.
There is very heav5 sediment in the bottle.

On the nose: Plum, ripe cherry and smokiness.

On the palate: slightly oxidised, plum, cherry, caramelised apple, smoke, leather and tar to finish

    The body is medium.
The wine has a smooth texture.
    The wine finishes long.
The wine has a low acidity.

    Conclusion
While the wine was slightly oxidised it was still there. Considering the wine is almost 50 yrs old it was outstanding and complex, silky smoothness with sweet ripe plum and finishing with pipe smoke and leather notes.
Enjoyed with friends and rated 91 due to the bottle being slightly oxidised however the experience of drinking this bottle with great food and great friends is easily a 100pt experience.

October 31, 2020 - Interesting to see nyccablover's note as we were on the zoom where it was consumed :-). Here it got opened a few hours before we were drinking it and no decant. Side by side with the '74 Barbaresco and also with a '67 F. Rinaldi. This was old Barolo and really drank as such. Secondary, more leather, not quite fresh (but perhaps just because we didn't give it enough time to strut it's stuff). Overall a totally good wine but missing on great.

April 11, 2020 - Wine in the time of Corona Virus - Quarantining in NYC & NH; 3/7/2020-9/1/2020 (NYC/NH): Purchased this from Chambers St. about 8 months ago - decided to pop this open for a weekly zoom on-line/off-line with friends. Decanted for about 4 hours prior to serving. Minimal sediment, clean cork. This was drinking exceptionally well. Nose of dried cherries and florals. On the palate fully mature with dried cherry, resolved tannins, earthy complexity nice finish. Really enjoyable to share (at least virtually) with friends.
