April 10, 2020 - Pinot meets Syrah, is how I would describe it. Probably my favorite bottleing they produce. Very dark and reminiscent of their Syrah style but still very much a Pinot. I like it.

March 8, 2020 - This wine is ridiculously good. Plush Santa Maria fruit, black tea, stems, spice and beautiful bright finish. Still developing and should stay in a nice drinking window for several years. Wish I had more.

September 16, 2018 - Tasted at Zaca Mesa. Great fruit and great skill produce great wines. I am mightily impressed with this and also the prior vintage of the Zaca Bien Nacido Pinot Noir. Subtle oak and spices are just peaking out from behind brilliant red fruit flavors. The finish is clean and bright with just the right amount of grip to remind you to lay this wine away to have in a few years because it promises an even better future. Still brilliant today if you lack patience, but I will choose to hold.
