August 5, 2023 - Paired with a peach pie and vanilla ice cream. 60% Furmint, 30% Harslevelu and 10% Zeta. This was the first post communist bottling where the estate had some control over production. Cocoa brown color. Notes of raisins, prunes and orange peels. Overall the fruit seemed to be subdued which would be expected in a 30 year old Tokaji but this was a very deep and interesting wine. 93 points.

March 31, 2021 - Remainder of bottle from previous corvine sample.
Medium brown colour, some amber hints still. Pronounced nose. Dried fruit - raisins, figs, dates, apricots, orange marmelade, honeycomb, tobacco leaf, smoke, black tea leaf. Fully developed. Palate is sweet, high acidity that really cleanses, low alcohol, full body, palate similar to the nose, long finish. The acidity perfectly balances the sugar and fruit, and the wine is very structured. Agree with my previous note that it lacks freshness, but the complexity makes up for that. Enjoy it now and over the next five years.

    February 27, 2021 - Coravin sample.
Medium brown colour, some amber hints still. Pronounced nose. Dried fruit - raisins, figues, dates, apricots, orange marmelade, honeycomb, tobacco leaf, smoke, black tea leaf. Fully developed. Palate is luscious, high acidity that really cleanses, low alcohol, full body, palate similar to the nose with the botrytus elements evident, long finish. This is a wine to ponder over, to swirl and sniff and enjoy the complexity. The acidity perfectly balances the sugar and fruit. For my palate, it has lost some freshness - I’d like a little more primary fruit. But that is a matter of personal taste. This won’t evolve further. No hurry to drink but why wait?

January 1, 2021 - Dark brown and cloudy in color. Flavors of dried apricot, raisins, caramel and brown sugar, with a lingering sweet finish.

March 27, 2020 - Amber color; nose of dried fruits: apricots, plums, pears: multi-layered, deep, rich and long, long... Wonderful balancing acidity.
On the palate this wine is rich, complex and long. Notes after notes are being played. this one has the kick I missed when tasting the Hetfürtos 2 weeks ago. A great wine, and close to perfection. Sadly, it was the last bottle...
