February 25, 2024 - Riesling bash at CHIKO (Chevy Chase, Maryland): Plush and sweet but maintains focus. Pineapples and peach nectar, with yellow flowers, and some slate and sea salt. Fun stuff. From magnum.

February 21, 2019 - Very pale color. Some reduction, slate, stone fruit, petrol/gas. Light bodied, high acid, with some residual sugar. Not overly complex on the palate, mostly orchard fruit, with a very clean finish. Like sucking on a granny smith. Tasty and great QPR. Was a pop n pour, so wouldn't be surprised if oxygen will give it some help.

October 18, 2018 - Super delicate, less spicy than the Gisela next to it, maybe a little more holding back, but also deep, just a little less complex. Has high acidity, medium-lower sweetness, excellent length again. And has the typical house style tension and acidity. Beautiful!
Opened up significantly on day 2 and 3 and gained also a little bit of fruit. (92+)

August 22, 2018 - While I still prefer this over almost any other Riesling due to its discrete aromatics of white fruit, herbs and flint, wrapped in airy lightness and purity, this 2017 is a notch below the 2016s. The latter seem to have a racier acidity and more structure, they are demanding and better accompanied with food, obviously longlived classics. Nonetheless this 2017 has the advantages of being a good drink on its own and may be pleasing for a wider range of palates.
