August 23, 2023 - A bit diluted but still quite pleasing. Appreciating the low abv. Bought at auction for $30 and well worth the tariff It would cost me more to store this in my offsite for 20 years

May 1, 2022 - Probably I was more lucky than previous buddies as my bottle was at perfect maturity. Lovely already at opening it has become even better in one hour. Fresh and compote black berries, spice, eucalyptus, balsamic and some meaty note. Silky tannins, good structure/concentration. Really enjoyable bottle with some potential remained.

April 28, 2022 - During a 2002 vs. 2012 tasting. This was decent but not great, showed that smaller wines from smaller vintages should have been consumed between age 10-15. The aromas were lovely, good tertiary Medoc complexity. The palate however showed the rainy 2002 vintage. A bit diluted and the tannins a little grainy.

October 17, 2021 - Definitiv toll, gewartet zu haben, mit fast 20 Jahren ein erhabener, ausgeglichener, wenn auch nicht großer Wein, der viel Spaß macht zum Roastbeef mit Fritten. Tanin geschliffen, schwarze Johannisbeere, etwas Rauch, zwischendurch wieder nasses Laub abwechselnd zu ätherischen Aromen wie Eukalyptus und Rosmarin.
