February 16, 2023 - A little scare as I thought I smelled something stinky when I pulled the cork. Not so! Complex nose of herbs, fruit and the Corsican hills. Lovely bright ?crunchy? Red fruits and earthy flavors. Complex wine with a balanced long finish.

January 18, 2022 - Opened and paired with mixed chicken left overs and garlic wild rice. Light, violet-ruby translucent color. The nose brings garrigue, cherry pit, Manhattan bitters, blueberries, and red licorice. The palate is medium-light, round, nimble, and textured, bringing boysenberries, blackberries, black licorice, dried leather, orange peel, and wild herbs into a tannic yet supple finish. Good acidic backbone yet light on its feet. This is a very impressive, distinctive wine with a sense of place and best with food. Drink 2022-2028. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 93.

September 25, 2020 - Nose of dark cherry candy and of raspberry jam. Hints of sage. The cherry and raspberry continues into the flavor. Finish is relatively dry, with lingering cherry candy. Very much reminds me of a Zinfandel. Personally not my style.

April 10, 2020 - Silvery artichoke metallic note on the nose, like the tang of an old style Zinfandel, overlaying red fruit and purple flowers, Intense concentration of fresh cranberry fruit on the palate with a deep well of sweet salty acid tannin at the back that floods into the long vibrating finish. A challenging wine of robust character.

March 30, 2020 - Light red. Fluid, light red fruit, herbs, and spice. Low tannins. As always, this is just a delight to drink with a meal, in this case a melange of spring vegetables.

Just as good the second night
