November 12, 2017 - Duck Four Ways at The Spread in Norwalk (The Spread in South Norwalk): Oldest wine of the night. Nose of mushroom, wet leaves and funk. Flavors of mushroom, iodine and some cherry hanging on. Ends with a 25 second finish. Like the Thomas, this has seen better days. Perhaps if I had these two without the context of the other wines I would have formed a better opinion but these were outclassed by the other Pinots at the dinner.

August 29, 2010 - I thought this was fabulous wine. Probably the best Oregon Pinot I've tasted. If you can put your hands on this wine, try to do a blind tasting with other Pinots from Burgundy to find out that few people will guess this is NOT a Grand Cru Burgundy!

February 16, 2010 - Lovely Shea for Mardi Gras red beans and rice. Nice cranberry fruit and gorgeous dry acidity.

January 4, 2009 - So. Pas Wine Group - Dinner for Change: Not much to recommend this wine. It was an impulse buy on WineBid based on the vineyard, not the winery. Tired and over with, lacking the power of the Shea fruit I've tasted from other winemakers.

July 11, 2008 - Had a glass with lunch and after some vigorous swirling the wine remained closed. Thought that a glass with dinner would be better, but there wasn't much improvement. The wine is showing much better the next day. Nice aromas of black cherry, boysenberry, and cedar. Well integrated flavors. The wine still has a nice weight to it. Tannins are a little strong on the finish.
