September 1, 2021 - Popped and poured. Medium crimson color, slightly cloudy. Nose of blackberry, cassis, black plum, some peppery spice. Similar flavors on the palate with very pure and clean fruit with a bit of spice but not showing much in the way of smoke or meat. Still more fruit driven. Medium+ acid, medium tannin. Juicy mouthfeel. Long finish. Very well made wine and paired great with some grilled lamb chops.

March 23, 2020 - Cork came out a bit wet and crumbly so had some concerns regarding bottle condition. Lots of wine particles from being unfiltered/unfined. Bright deep ruby color. Nose was really high-toned florals and some mixed black and red berry fruits but the violet and potpourri type notes were dominant. The palate was disjointed with sharp acidity, almost a bit jarring. Compared to the first bottle I had, I have to suspect there was something slightly off with this bottle, given the cork and how it showed on the palate.

April 14, 2019 - High toned black fruit and fresh purple flowers over tilled earth, fresh soil, bramble. It's pretty good now, but when everything has meshed together and mellowed in some years it will be very good. Will be fun to watch it evolve.

January 25, 2019 - Really interesting wine. I completely agree with some of the previous comments - blackberry, black cherry, violets on the nose and palate. Almost creamy mouthfeel and great acid. Looking forward to seeing how this bottle evolves tonight and how my other bottles evolve over time. Definitely enjoying this one!

December 12, 2018 - Unlike any Syrah I’ve had before. Difficult to describe, changed a lot over the 3 hours that we drank it. A lot of fruit up front with some floral notes. Tannins were pretty mellow but the acid was explosive. I imagine it would go great with ribs or something slathered in barbecue sauce. Excited to try the next bottle in 5 years or so.
