November 3, 2021 - Good price to value ratio, easy going Chardonnay. Good with food, not an oaky or heavy vanilla Chardonnay. This paired nicely with some halibut I made. Medium body.

April 10, 2020 - I am not a particular fan of California Chardonnays, preferring Pouilly-Fuissés and the whites of the Mâcon. But this one is quite good. While too many California Chardonnays are lavished by too much oak — emphasizing the frosting over the cake, as an analogy — this wine reflects a more proper balance of fruit and acidity with a complement of oak. Oak is to Chardonnay as salt is to food: some accentuates the flavors while too much overpowers them. This wine is an example of proper balance.
