Community Tasting Notes 2

December 25, 2018 - Dark cherry and fresh raspberry on the nose, with a hint of baking spice lurking at the edges. A mouthful of crunchy red fruit with a mildly tannic finish spiked by telltale acid. A touch of alcoholic heat lingers, not surprising given the labeled 15% ABV.

This manages to remain food-friendly despite the heft, but I would prefer it if it were a little lighter on its feet.

March 31, 2018 - Marco Crivelli is one of Piemonte's quiet superstars, content to work a small amount of vineyard (8 hectares), and produce a small handful of wines. The wine offers a fruity nose in its youth, then evolves to develop hints of leather, cocoa, cinnamon and liquorice wood. The palate offers a full body, good acidity and solid structure with a rich mouthfeel.
