  April 2, 2017 - Much better than expected, especially as this was recently purchased on the secondary market (Benchmark).
  Russel Bevan was the winemaker at Showket for a time, although I'm not sure if he had a hand in this wine. I've had a few of his own label, so it was fun to taste his learning curve wine.
  On first sip (before I looked up the winemaker) - wow. Nice. A bit tannic (which improved with air), but a great Napa SuperTuscan (admittedly a small category).
  
  Went very well with a 4 cheese veggie pizza.

  July 14, 2015 - PnP at restaurant-still plenty of life. Needed about 20 min of air. Plenty of tannin. Went well with mole and probably needs some spicy foods to show its best.

  October 26, 2014 - Mild nose of dark fruit, oak. Palate is surprisingly youthful for this wine. Tannins are still present though soft. A nice level of acidity exists. An initial hit of cherry with continuing notes of cassis, oak. Hints of raspberry. Short to moderate finish.

  August 13, 2013 - Truly exceptional and delicious. Aroma of fruit. Tastes of berries and jam. Not sweet or cloying. Well aged and mature and softened. Perhaps at its peak.
