October 18, 2023 - Deep ruby red colour, almost opaque, with red brim. Beautiful nose, developed, with notes of dark cherries, spices, prunes, mulberries and some vanilla, cloves, chocolate and a touch of leather and tobacco leaves. Mouthfeel is generous, developed, medium bodied, with fine-grained tannins, nice acidity and notes of dark cherries, spices, mulberries and some vanilla and cloves.
Very classic, textbook Rioja Gran Reserva with all the attributes just in the right place. -

January 14, 2023 - This is a nice 9 year old Gran Reserva from Rioja. Easy drinking, rich and extracted.
Medium plus and body with medium acidity.
Showing black fruits with tobacco leaf, oak, licorice, spices, herbs, earth, vegetables, espresso and peppercorn.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and pomegranates.
Needed a couple of hours to open up properly.
Showing nice complexity now. Will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
100% Tempranillo grapes were aged in French and American oak barrels for 24 months.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
