May 29, 2018 - Lively and precise, but not without hints of underlying playfulness - this is everything you would want in a young, dry Chenin. Tart green and yellow fruit combine with prominant salinity to set the stage; pine and citrus pith do their part as well, while sharp acidity keeps you on your toes with each sip. Always lurking, however, is an intriguing sense of something more, something richer, by way of pineapple, starfruit, passionfruit, and honey (honeysuckle, perhaps?). Even as part of Craig’s ‘entry level’ lineup, it’s apparent this bottle has much more to it than first meets the eye (nose/mouth) and plenty of time to show it.
