Perfect stored bottle. I was a bit "disappointed". Spicy, herbal, nearly no fruits left. For me just over his peak. 94 -

November 25, 2023 - From Paris with Love, 2023 Edition; 11/24/2023-11/25/2023 (Paris): Our second experience with this beautiful wine and albeit among the lowest we have rated from the La Las of the 1980s ( somehow these wines seems to have an extra decade we joked while savouring this and the 88 La Turque and 88 La Mouline both 98-100 wines) . Started off very herby, bright herbs, mint, and evolved over one hour into the more savoury, soft smoky , roast meat combo that defines these wines. Just lacks the majestic side of the usual and lacks the length of flavour of the best La Las. A consistently beautiful 95

November 2, 2022 - Charleston Offlineorama VII; 11/2/2022-11/6/2022 (Various locations): I’ve been fortunate to have this wine several times; this bottle was perfect. Smoky game, integrated oak, rich and unctuous fruit. Wow.

November 2, 2022 - Charleston VII; 11/2/2022-11/6/2022 (Charleston, SC (various locations)): Wow does that jump out of the glass at you. Pure animal. All feral. It's actually in a good drinking window it seems even with our pop and pour (we did enjoy it for awhile over dinner). Really grabs you.
