November 5, 2019 - The nose is a zingy medium , giving a complex mix of candied lemon, honeysuckle, unripe peach, honey, and background of flintiness. It is still acidic and there is a slightly bitter twist ( perhaps some residual tannin), with flavours of lemon , leading into a dry mealy finish. Leave for another year to let this wine settle down.

December 12, 2018 - Wine Wednesday - Mac Forbes (Different Drops, Fig Street, Ultimo): Toast, a little stalky note, as well as green, slightly unripe stone fruit and, oddly, a little honey and butter. In the mouth there is some initial fruit sweetness; it's juicy but also there's some slightly bitter, hard grip on the mid palate. Finishes quite short. Nah.
