June 24, 2018 - {cork, 13%} Ruby/black colour. Sour cherry nose; savoury, malt, dirt, a touch of tobacco. The palate is rather diffuse, it has very low tannin, seemingly all grape-skin rather than oak, along with a tart acidity. A nod to a greenish sort of ripeness too. Not quite mouth-puckering, but no fruit-bomb. Rather hollow and simple finish; not a lot of flavour apparent; there's more on the nose than the palate. Possibly too old for the grape/style? No evident fault or cork problem.
