April 4, 2020 - Had shipped from Italy a couple of years ago after a tour of the amazing ancient winery. I have a better recollection of it there. No surprise given the ambiance. But it was the lesser of two of their wines I got. Took a while to open up. Still a bit tight and tannic. I may be being a bit generous and this is an 89. But probably it simply needs a few more years in the bottle. I'll let the rest age longer.
