Community Tasting Notes 2

October 13, 2009 - This bottle just did not do it for me. Perhaps I paired it wrong (light Italian red sauced chicken and pasta). The color was a nice purple inky color that was pleasing. Nose was subtle, but not unexpected for a Malbec. The taste was disappointing. Plum and red cherry fruits are obvious, but they fade quickly. There is enough bitterness in the finish to make the wine unsatisfying.

A fairly dull nose with some tobacco and black fruit. Fullish palate with notable tannins providing much grip.
