January 14, 2024 - Opened at the Lobster Bar at the Island Shangri-La in HK. Slow-oxed for around 30 mins before the dinner and served blind.

Unfortunately, this was slightly tainted by TCA. I took at stab at trying to identify the wine underneath anyway, and guessed a good VR village from 2012, given the tannic integration. Glad I got the village, but everything else was way off.

What a treat! And also, what a shame that it was slightly corked. Given my fondness for 2002 RSV I imagine I would have really enjoyed this, especially compared against the 2007 Soldera. Must revisit at some point, and thanks to M for sharing the bottle.

September 13, 2023 - not the best bottle but still very nice, just not as evolved as others i have had

August 31, 2023 - End-of-Summer Dinner Featuring Vega-Sicilia Único (Asador Bastian - Chicago IL): Wonderful perfumed nose, so prototypically Vosne. Flavors are less exciting, slightly tired and slightly muted. 95 point nose, 90 point palate.

August 31, 2023 - A wow, intense, magical classic Vosne nose of red and black cherry, black tea, and loads of Vosne spice. The palate has excellent concentration and all the flavors of the nose with a little less intensity and clarity of flavors - but that's nitpicking on an otherwise singing wine.

December 17, 2022 - sublime wine showing even better than the 02 Arnoux RSV. Brown sugar and a touch of sweet funk in the nose. On the palate concentrated and sappy raspberry and other red fruits showing sophistication, charm, and complexity. Memorable. My (and others) WOTN.

(Hudelot-Noellat Romanée Saint-Vivant) Medium, medium-plus cherry-red. Both depth and width on the nose, mixing meaty and red berry notes, eventually coated with vanilla. Really super texture with density and acidity to match. Finally a slight rasp to the tannins as they fade into the spicy and very long finish. Yes, this is a real RSV - excellent.
