December 31, 2018 - 6 Tasmania wineries Dec-19; 12/27/2018-1/2/2019 (Tasmania): {screwcap, A$65} Figs, dates, red earth; stronger and earthier than the Cooinda Vale wine. Medium/full-bodied, with oak and butter, dry even palate, medium long finish. Has a burnished quality compared to Cooinda; this was my slight preference, but they’re both pretty good. There’s no aging evidence for these wines yet, but there’s no doubting the grape quality.

September 1, 2018 - Pooley & By Farr New Releases (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Slightly cheesy and meaty (wild ferment & lees stirring?) over buttered toast, herbs - sage and thyme, lemon and sulphur. Sharp acidity, palate much of a muchness. Meh.
