June 5, 2018 - Alentejo Trip; 6/3/2018-6/8/2018: Aromas of black currants topped in black tea, violets and incense sticks. Dense and young on the palate with medium acidity and a core of dark plum and currant fruit, some crunchy blueberry too. Dark, earthy, anise, black tea and magic marker notes add complexity. Bold but beautiful with some serious aging potential. Aged one year in new French oak, 14.5%.
