Community Tasting Notes 6

November 29, 2010 - Medium gold. Nose golden delicious apples, butterscotch, lemon and subtle oak. A rich wine with apple, butterscotch, carmel, oak, vanilla and minerals. Complex wine with a long finish. This is a baby Kistler and one of the great sub $20 Chardonnay wines I have ever sampled.

December 31, 2009 - Nose is great with honey and hazelnut. Palate is a little sharp with citrus notes and a medium finish

May 16, 2009 - Paired with tempura shrimp and lobster mac 'n cheese. Certainly could taste the minerality on the palate but also some butter - which I was not expecting based on the winemaker's notes. An "okay" chardonnay - but there are better options for the same price.

December 8, 2007 - Great balance and no typical Calif oak. Very white burgundy esk.

December 2, 2007 - Antinori/Chateau St. Michelle: Quite heavy on the minerality here, with an overall green impression. Mouthwatering snappy fruit is very pleasing.
