March 24, 2023 - Just awesome. My third GG Riesling and I can't wait to try more. Maybe a small step behind the other two, which I found both richer and more complex (Loewen Thornicher 2017 and Schnaitmann Uhlbacher Gotzenberg 2015), but this was still totally captivating and bright. Loads of creamy pineapple with a faint honey drizzle and lemon curd bounding from the nose, no real leesy/barrel character which I kind of missed, but loved the springy freshness of it. It's like what most viognier wants to be. Same on the palate, effortless acidic pop supporting tons of lemon/pineapple and gentle fizz, a saline mineral tone closing out the finish. This disappeared in the blink of an eye.

June 3, 2022 - GGs vs. 1er Cru Burgs (Bin 75 Alpharetta, GA): More yellow green; intense nose, apple, strict, peach, 4-square, smoky, flinty, candied ginger, spicy finish, good not great, a bit too straightforward.

June 19, 2019 - again, Wisselbrunnen is a knockout. riper and richer than the Rosengarten, with more power and yet, more mineral and savory at the same time. citrus and peach strike a balance with the stony, savory notes leading to a stunning wine.

June 21, 2018 - Shockingly good, especially for such a young GG, already stunning in its stony armor, but look under - and it is ripe and rich, bursting with tangy fruit. This is wine of power and elegance. One of my favorites from the tasting.
