September 7, 2021 - What a delightful bottle of wine for 17 bucks! Earthy, dry, grippy, fruitful, and so nimble. This is a home chef's dream wine for enjoyment while cooking. To be enjoyed with anything Italian. Excellent now and best over next couple of years.

February 13, 2021 - Some nice cherry in the wine and quite drinkable, but very light and I was hoping for more given the vintage.

September 18, 2020 - Sweet berry smell, blackberry, cherry but light toned. Some tobacco smell too, a touch of wood. Light to medium body, sappy and tangy in the mouth, more savoury than fruity. Low tannin, high acid. Elegant and fresh. Just great.

    September 6, 2020 - Good Pizza wine.

June 29, 2020 - Nose has bright cherry and cherry tomato, some oregano/tarragon like herb, with just a hint of leather or tobacco. Palate is more purely fruity, great cherry and berry character with the cherry tomato again. Dry and only a little ok showing but the purity of fruit is good enough to suggest sweet berries or even some vanilla. M to M+ acid, M body, M tannin, a fresh and pure style. Alcohol is well integrated, no undesirable heat. Not much complexity but the basic quality is very good. Perfect pairing with a pasta salad of fusilli, sundried tomato pesto, spinach, walnuts, cherry tomato, shaved Parmesan. This should be food flexible but it really cries out for tomatoes, and unlike some Chianti is well suited for warmer weather pairings. Great now, probably still good for several years to come, but the fruit is so nice in this, and it’s so forward now, that I recommend drinking now if you just have one. 6.9/10
