May 24, 2021 - At twenty years, despite perfect cork, fill level and label, this is at the end of its prime drinking window and will start to diminish here forward, time to drink.

Dark garnet color with opaque purple hues, medium bodied, blackberry fruit accented by charcoal, smoke, bacon fat, some pepper, licorice, black tea, hints of floral and spice.

    November 5, 2017 - Last of this bottling...still very fresh, red fruits...smooth...

April 9, 2016 - Deep purple/red color. Aromas of blackberries, bacon fat and spices. Ripe, full-bodied fruit in the mouth with excellent depth and a long, silky, lingering finish. After 12 years of age, still huge but a more refined wine. Very integrated and seemless on the palate. The best match yet for my wife's great Gibaniča!

March 30, 2015 - Great nose, slightly hot on the finish, nice fruit, still has a lot of structure but drinking well.

February 17, 2015 - On first tasting I was hit with the large alcohol contained in this wine. As this glass sat over the meal the alcohol dissipated and what was left was a jammy port-like wine. I really enjoyed it, but if i had any more i wouldn't be holding on for too much longer.
