Community Tasting Notes 4

  • Ernestas Likes this wine: 91 points

March 22, 2024 - Elegant and quite lean Nebbiolo farmed from two plots of old vines, one planted in 1948, another in 1989, aged in new FR oak barrels for 18 months. Medium ruby colour. Medium+ intensity aroma of cherries, strawberries, tobacco, smoke, earth, tar. Medium+ body, elegant, lively and lean with ripe cherry and strawberry flavours, good tension on high acidity, medium+ refined tannins.

  • Tonythefish Likes this wine: 92 points

January 15, 2023 - Opened and did not know what to expect. Medium to bright red fruits. Nicely tannic and some herbaceous notes. Wine had nice bright acidity, medium red color and was very expressive - even at 8 years old. Finish was not very long but wine was enjoyable overall

March 11, 2020 - Even more fruit expressive on day two - after being coravin'd for a week as well. Delicious and serious stuff. Betcha it would sell more if they could write the word Barolo on it!

July 6, 2018 - Aroma: medicinal black cherry and blackberry aromas with nutty notes.
Palate: rich medicinal blackberry and cured meat flavors with notes of herbs. Moderate acidity and tannin.
