December 23, 2022 - Appearance - Dark ruby color, clear at the edge, reflective, good legs/body - 3/3
Aroma/Bouquet - Plum, blueberry, oak and vanilla, light mineral notes, light alcohol/heat on the nose - 5/6
Taste - Dark berry, plum, oak/vanilla, light tannins, light mineral - 5/6
Aftertaste - Long finish, dark berry flavor continues, tannins fade - 3/3
Overall - Good complex wine with fruit and oak, balanced tannins, sugars, and acid - 2/2
Note - This wine evaluation is based on the American Wine Society 20-point judging criteria, then interpolated into a 100-point score.

    October 8, 2022 - Day 1: Holding off on a review.
Day 2: A bit more open for business but for the money this is a poorly made. Earth, dirt, mild spice, underbrush and muted red currants. Not much on the finish. Thank goodness bought this at auction for under $40. Will be using a few of these to show how a $20 wine is way better than whatever the original price on this was in a blind tasting. 85 points
Day 3: Just a harsh tasting wine. Pepper, earth, underbrush, spice and muted fruit. 83 points
Recommendation: Avoid the price and the wine. They should stick to Pinot and Chardonnay.
Can't believe when I read the tech sheet that this is made for the steakhouse. That is que one to avoid! Why would anyone blend Pinot and Syrah is beyond me?

October 6, 2020 - Unique blend of Dundee Hills Pinot Noir and Oregon Walla Walla Syrah although Syrah character is dominant. 14.3% ABV. $85.

    June 10, 2020 - Decanted about 1 1/2 hrs. Served with a ribeye. Yummy.
